Using Pictures of Herpes

Blisters and sores are the outstanding visible symptoms that we can spot in the skin of a person with herpes. However, not all blisters and sores are caused by herpes. To find out if you are seeing just an ordinary blister or a blister that may be caused by herpes, it is best to take a look at some herpes pictures first.

These pictures may be available in the Internet. In some instances, your physician will also show you some herpes pictures to offer you the chance to compare your actual blisters with some blisters documented from other herpes patients.

Blisters that appear in the genital area should let you suspect the possibility of being contaminated with a sexually transmitted disease, especially if you do not practice safe sex. It should be noted however, that diagnosis of herpes is not concluded merely by visual examination. There are laboratory tests for that.

Viewing the pictures may give you an ugly sight of blisters which may appear in the penis and scrotum of the male, and in the labia and vagina of a female. Aside from the sexual organs, there are also pictures that depict the presence of blisters in the anus, buttocks and legs. These blisters are of course visible during a herpes outbreak.

Some pictures of herpes will also show you blisters that can be found in the area of the mouth and other areas of the body. Those that show blisters in the area of the mouth are referred to as oral herpes or cold sores.

Resolve your confusion whether you are seeing only rashes or sores in your body. Try to observe it and compare it with some herpes pictures. This will more or less give you the idea whether you are just having an ordinary rash or a herpes blister.
